There is something satisfying about seeing old rotten wormy wood replaced with new wood.Its ready for another hundred years.

I think the new bottom would look better stained dark, to bring out the dark spots in the wood on the drawer fronts. As it is, to me, it looks like a new bottom attached, which it is, but most people don't want it to look like that. It's just my opinion. I'm amazed that you were able to save it at all!

I am a quitter mistakes, if unfixable are called quilters marks. Many quilts have them. I treasure mine because they show I tried. Mistakes are part of every endeavour, so be pleased with your work, it is truly beautiful.
