I own my house and have two renters staying in my 2 guest rooms. Renter 1 started paying $ 850/month, I lowered his rent to $ 800/month. Renter 2 started paying $ 700/month, I lowered his rent to $ 675/month. As the landlord, I try to be understanding and limit rent increases.

Nothing is ever all paid off. Property taxes, homeowners insurance, utilities all keep climbing. There is no winning.

I feel the young lady…. I leased a townhouse. Six months later I got a letter stating lease increased $500 increasing my lease to $2500. I immediately put in a notice to vacate . I wasn’t gonna live beyond my means. I loved the placed though.
