  For those looking for the promised video on Danger - LONG pinned comment incoming, reposted from my community page so that more people see it!<br><br>A few weeks ago I promised a video on the X-Men character Danger, largely because she&apos;s on the roster in Marvel Tokon. I announced this video before doing some of the research for it (oops) and upon actually entering production quickly realized...I don&apos;t want to put this video on YouTube. Danger&apos;s origin story heavily involves a quite dark depiction of suicide, and I don&apos;t really trust YouTube&apos;s auto-moderation with the subject matter in question (among a few other things). I am, however, committed to completeness and didn&apos;t want to skim over key storylines for stupid moderation&apos;s sake, so I had to come up with another option for release. <br> <br>What I landed on was making this a Patreon-exclusive video...BUT, in the spirit of fairness since I already promised it publicly, a FREE one. If you go to my Patreon you’ll be able to watch this video without any paid subscription and without ads.   I really like the dynamic he has in Rivals where basically EVERYBODY tells him wearing the Hood is a bad idea and he just responds with &quot;yea?? But i have this shit ON tho&quot;

  I like that the Hood &quot;trilogy&quot; is basically a classic noir story - tragedy about a criminal who could&apos;ve got what he wanted, but his one tragic flaw got in the way of that. Just with added magic.

  Funniest thing about Hood in Rivals is everyone with magic tells him he&apos;s literally Damning himself and he brushes them off as haters

  He is the number of times he fumbled his family:<br><br>1. ⁠Cheated on his pregnant wife with prostitutes<br>2. ⁠His daughter got possessed by Dormammu due to Hood working with him<br>3. ⁠His daughter nearly died to vampires because iirc he had dragged her and her mother into vampires territory<br>4. ⁠He tried to rewrite reality with the Infinites Stones to get the perfect life with them, against their wills.<br>5. ⁠He literally barged into their home with a bunch of goons, madame masque (his lover at the time) and being a ghost rider and expected a warm welcome

  My theory for how The Hood got out of hell is that despite selling his soul to Mephisto, Doramanu still technically had ownership over it. This led to Dorumamu and Mephisto having a custody battle over The Hood. Now he gets let out of hell on weekends to do Dorumamu’s bidding and suffers in hell on weekdays.

  Dormammu is a great pick because it really sells that the Hood doesn&apos;t really know about magic. Technically his patron isn&apos;t a demon but an other dimensional being, but that&apos;s not a distinction he understands
