Same thing happened to me with my 2019 Road King. At the time, it had around 59,000 miles on it. I was about 180 miles from home and did exactly what you did, nurse it until it wouldn't go anymore. Had a friend who owns a shop come pick up me up and bring the bike to the dealership. By this time, I was less than 60 miles from home. Anyway, it was repaired under warranty cause the bike was still less than two years old. Never happened again. Ended up trading it in at 85,000 miles for a 2024 Street Glide. Only kept it for about nine months. I'm not too crazy about all the tech going into the new bikes. Was very happy with the performance, ride and handling but the damn little triangle/exclamation point warning light came on at about 6,000 miles. They said it was some kind of sensor. They changed it, light went away, never came on again. Then at 21,000 miles the clutch cable broke at the handlebar. Luckily, I was close to home and near my dealership. They came pick it up, replaced the cable and returned the bike to me three days later. No other Harley I've owned gave me any issues aside from the occasional flat tire. The following weekend, I traded it in on a low mileage 2021 Road King, same one in my profile pic. That will be a year come this October. I've put about 36,000 miles and still haven't had any issues. Most of the guys I ride with have 2024 or later touring models and none of them have had any major issues and all of them log some serious miles. And yeah, if you're not riding it at least once or twice a week, you'll need to keep a charger on it. Those electronics will suck the life out of them pretty quick. Half of the ones on the showroom floor are dead most of the time when I visit the dealership. Well, that's a really nice bike you got, and I hope your problems are behind you, and can enjoy many miles/kilometers on it cause I'm looking forward to seeing some of your travels with it. Best of luck and stay safe.

Gods holy trousers! Glad you’re still with us, I wonder if there’s a way to fix the signal if you’re on your own? Not that you should have to but speak with the mechanic and ask what he would do if it happened to him.

Did you pull the main fuse for 30 seconds? It clears codes. I carry and extra also.

Yep for me personally..if the bike has some issues that could jeopardize my safety.. it's a goner...it happened on my 2017 RGU.. sumping..trans to primary transfer..amongst other pending problems..after 10 mos..got rid of it..never bought another new HD since..<br>They look good but not worth the money for so many problematic issues.. Good luck 😊

Wow, what a story. Glad you're ok. My brother in law and I just completed (a few weeks ago) a ride from Southern Ontario out to PEI, Cabot Trail and then down to Lunenburg and then back again. He was on his 2021 Street Glide and I on my new 2026 Road Glide Limited (black on black). No problems yet and over 12,000 kms on the 2026. Was a great trip and glad we didn't encounter the sorts of issues you encountered. Would you please post either here or on another video the cause of the failure when you find out? I would love to know. Also - was your bike manufactured in Malaysia (VIN starting with MLY)? Just curious. Thanks and ride safe.

My 2009 HD Ultra Classic had a no throttle response beyond idle at Yuma Prison Rally in 2017. Started the bike & cycled it off & on dozen times to regain throttle. Yuma HD took me in immediately and repaired within an hour. Turned out throttle harness connection at throttle body lost contact (they had seen this on other bikes) They replaced new updated connection pins and never happened again, runs well with over 100K miles. I do prefer throttle cables and less tech overall.

my first and lasting impression of Harleys was from leg pushing my buddies choppers off the freeway in SOCAL in the 70's, sometimes for miles. With my 750 Honda. That's still what I think of when I see a broken Harley.
