  i have the day shelter version of this as i fish days only and it insane, its basically the same thing with out the door and ground sheet however the Velcro is there for a ground sheet, funny thing is i was using the day shelter today came home opened youtube and it recommended this lol

  That strap you said is for wrapping it.. I think you'll find it is a tensioning strap for across the base of the bivvy matey.. check for fasteners inside on both sides

  Carl, great video, again as someone else said the strap you said that is for wrapping up is a tension strap for the front at the base. The clips go in each corner across the front to stop the bivvy spreading too wide and hold its shape

  That long strap mate is a tension strap for the bivvy it pulls all the poles tight and make sthe bivvy taller you attach it to the front two corners of the bivvy where the poles meet

  Good honest revue . Ignore the "I've got one better and cheaper' and 'you're doing it wrong' .You have taken the time and effort to brilliantly show the shelter you bought . As  for suggesting how you can make your videos better , well , I find your down to earth and honest presentation most refreshing .Well done . You're a natural .

  Great day shelter. You took the tension strap off yes it keeps everything neat when packing down it stops the front of the bivvy spreading to far apart
