I think the most impressive part of Casey's analysis is his ability to ignore Prime's valiant efforts to derail the conversation.

16:02 the sound of Trash crunching snacks in the background while Casey tries to figure out how to dumb the explanation down to our level is peak cinema

Just want to say, this has grown to be one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. Gives the vibe of just four guys hanging out and having a good time, but thanks to Casey or whatever guest you have on it’s actually high in educational value as well. Please never stop!! Y’all awesome.

Can we get an episode where we just go over all the shit Trash has done in his past? So far we've gotten Counter Strike, metalcore/emo-band that was on Warped Tour, and tried to be a pro-bowler. And this is all juxtaposed on top of the fact that he STILL ended up becoming a senior engineer at Netflix (btw).

Dude is like an undercover Temu version of the world's most interesting man

This type of optimization is called a Strength Reduction, and a good compiler can already do this by default

The thing that Casey is explaining, I learned it in a numerical calculus assignment, which I've always been terrible at. It was the first time I passed a calculus course without needing to retake it. The professor assigned a project to help with the exam grade, which involved implementing methods for finding non-exact zeros, and he asked for a report on it. I went through all those problems that guy mentioned and managed to learn and understand everything on my own. It was the first time I actually researched and learned things independently. I wrote down everything I learned, terrified of saying the dumbest thing in the world, and in the end, I was the only one who understood the assignment and managed to do what the professor wanted. That's when I decided to follow the path that led me to where I am now. I've rarely been so happy to have understood something like that.

The idea that Trash and Casey now have to avoid the Minifig story like the plague to get a full first experience on the next Standup is now my entire week's blocker; I need to get so much popcorn prepared for next week.
