Small detail I noticed, love how Garrett is the first to sense that a fight is about to break between Dean and Hunter. Leave it to the guy with the abusive dad to notice when somebody is about to lose their temper

I did like that when Hannah was late to the game because she was spiraling a bit, Garrett's first reaction was "Where were you? Are you okay?" rather than being angry at her. Also, I had to smile when you mentioned watching Dirty Dancing with Maria, it's so fun to watch y'all discover/rediscover movies together.

The more I rewatch, the more I see that Dean was down bad for Allie and had actually wanted a relationship with her for a while, probably by Thanksgiving if not sooner, but was too afraid to actual talk to her because she kept insisting that she only wants casual, so he always chickened out and hid behind his six flags persona because he's actually really insecure since he's never done this before. The jumping through hoops was not because he didn't want to comit, it was because he thought SHE didn't want to date him. That's why he always insisted they could be just casual. Both of them didn't believe the other would ever change their minds, so they were settling for the closest thing they thought they could have. Only after he realizes he doesn't want her sleeping with someone else AND Beau tells him how awsome he is does he finally decide to go for it.

If you pay attention to when Hunter enters the bar, it almost looks like he's looking around for someone, then he approaches Dean with a smile on his face and looks confused when Dean acts hostile. My theory is that Hunter and Dean used to actually be really close friends and maybe Dean even taught him how to play hockey, but then Hunter messed around and did something that hurt Dean's sister, Summers (maybe cheated on her or put her in danger somehow, I really hope it wasn't just that he wanted to date her, that wouldn't work and it would make Dean look bad) and Dean never forgave him for it. When Allie mentioned at the bar that last time she hooked up casually she ended up hurting someone she cared about and didn't want that to happen again, Hunter says "I get that" and seems to genuinely relate to that, so I'm assuming that has to do with the Summer situation. The only reason Hunter showed up to the tryouts last year was to talk to him and he refused the spot on the team because Dean told him to screw off. As such, the only reason he joined now was because Logan lied and said it was Dean's idea. His snarky coments could be a way to mask the hurt that Dean still refuses to play with him despite the fact that it's obvious the team needs him. He could be hiding behind that cocky persona in the same way Dean hides behind his "six flags" one. And if Hunter was trying to make it up to Dean, him hurting him again like this by accident is kind of tragic and ironic in its own way.

As a person who grew up in peak The CW 2000's shows like Vampire Diaries, the 90210 remake, Pretty Little Liars, etc. it is really refreshing to see some of the more emotionally intelligent shows that are being made! Things like Off Campus and Sterling Point were pleasant surprises and I adored watching Heated Rivalry without the ever looming presences of "bury your gays".

You just know Beau was kicking himself for encouraging Allie to read lines with Joanna without telling his sister about how he met her and how Dean felt about her. Also, he's the only one besides Dean to fully understand the situation, since Allie and everyone else in the friend group doesn't know what happened with Summers, Hunter himself and the rest of the friends don't know about the stuff with Allie, but Beau knows all of it

Someone also theorized that Garrett's dad was actually the one who pulled the strings to get the wins of the team revoked using his influence in an attempt to force Garrett into going pro early and leaving college.

The only reason Garrett agreed to go home for Thanksgiving was because his dad said Cindy had chosen to trust him and he wanted to be someone worthy of that trust and THAT is exactly how he himself felt about Hannah

All the framed photos in the hallway of Garrett's house are hockey photos!! All the childhood photos with actually good memories were hung up by him in his bedroom. You can clearly see what his dad cared about.

"You can still make it?" Siam, it's a show. Of course they can still make it, that's how it usually works. And honestly, them not being able to lose any games is a great way to add high stakes
