  I worked with Ian Willott in the control office in Swindon many years ago in my career. He is an excellent railwayman and very good at what he does. I gather he has retired now but what a great servant he has been.

  Many years ago a friend of mine was a SR driver. He experienced more than one suicide & it ended his career.

  This is the side of the railway the public never see it’s an inconvenience for some people but someone for whatever reason has lost their life

  As a MOM i dealt with far too many fatalities. The main concern is the welfare of the driver and incident staff

  I remember my dad who was on an aircraft carrier had those exact same alarm when there is enemy submarines in the region 😮

  I work in a Police Control room and had tobdeal with a similar incident where someone sadly took their life as a train pulled in.  Poor lady calling us was understandably in bits and I got staff to check on the driver and look after them.  If anyone feels like harming themselves please call 111 option 2, Samaritans, Go to hospital or a local safe haven you are not alone and help is there should you be in crisis.
