I am just glad this is the approach fenders goes in - encouraging players to mod and own their guitars. This warms my heart...

Thank you Fender, for going beyond just making products, and doing things like this to teach and engage with all of us. It makes your company more personal in an awesome way!

Looking forward to this series! With the economy being horrible, modding is the way to go plus it can be really fun.

Pro tip: get one of those bowls with a magnet for keeping screws and hardware while you're working. Some of those screws are small and easy to lose.

Loving this approach from @fender, helping the musicians to be creative and daring when looking for their very own signature sound, mapping the instrument to be ready to be on the search for the "Golden Tone."

My first mods were strap locks, painting a racing stripe on my strat, followed by gluing a lapis lazuli cabochon on the round part of the headstock. Changing the knobs out was also very early on. I later changed that strat to a two P90 set up. That guitar is my workshop.<br>(Check Q parts and knobheadpdx to see if they have the weird knobs you seek.)

I'm glad you guys did this, really shows the versatility of how easy it is to mod a Strat/Tele for our liking just with simple changes.

This is why Fender is ahead of the pack. Although much of this information wouldn’t be incredibly useful to a veteran player/modder, this information is is SO useful to newer/younger players. Education is key, and educating the consumer is incredibly important. While PRS (my second favorite brand) delivers education of their own, it is geared more towards “This is why our brand is so good” which I understand, but, Fender is doing a great job. I hope this inspires people to mod out their guitars. It’s a blast to do. I try to do two per year.

Great video! One of my favorite things about Fender guitars is being able to mod them. I put a Floyd Rose on my Jazzmaster! 🎸🤘😃
