  Besides all what pastor John said, I believe that God made us with that longing for relationships because   is the best way to understand love. In the same way that God is triune to show He is love, we needed others of our own kind to understand love as it really is. As the apostle John says "Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen"

  I am someone who tends to be happier alone. I spent a lot of my life in vivid imagination with the idea of being a fiction author. I fell in love with my characters who I understood easily and who I created in my imaginary worlds to understand my alter egos. Then I woke up one morning after dreams I couldn't remember with these words in my head: I want you to love real people. There was anxiety i had no known cause for, that only prayer could relieve. I cant go back to that life ever again, praise God. I think that true story is fits well here and wanted to share those words I dont think I can ever forget. I do believe that came from God, because they didnt say stop trying to escape from this world.

  God created Adam with needs. And God provided for those needs. He gave food for hunger. Work for growth. And Eve for companionship.

  Thank you, fed up of hearing we don't need people, just need God. The film Castaway shows we don't cope well without other people around! It's how we're created, so people need to stop saying that single people are just weak and pathetic when they don't like to be alone all the time. It's human nature and has nothing to do with being pathetic or lack of faith!

  I love this so much. I think as people, we can at times separate God from all the things he creates and blesses us with. “God gave it to me and then stepped aside, rather than God gave it and I get to experience him through it.” So at face value, no God is not enough to physically satisfy whatever my earthly vessel desires or needs, but without him at the root of it, eventually that physical thing will not satisfy me either. He is the root of all things good, pleasurable, and desired by man. We can never separate the gift from the gift giver. Amen!

  Being single is one of my struggles. I would like to be in a relationship that is blessed by god. I express im a christian and it seems it puts some off and i believe,  i need to let go and let god. When i struggle with this. In turn turning single to loneliness. To ,  As, it will happen when it happens. Run to him daily for guidance.

  There was a time in my life where I was obsessed with finding a wife. I prayed and fasted in the hopes that God would someday bring her across my path. Looking back at my past relationships during that time of searching and waiting, I realized I was very selfish. So, in the end I’ve decided to embrace celibacy and focus more on God instead of what I want. It took a while to make peace with the idea. It’s not easy walking the road as a single person but I have the utmost respect for the selfless act of marriage. Some of us are called to marriage. Others are called to celibacy.
