  Glad I saw this video. I'm noticing that The amp in my right Tritan 3 plays lower than the left. I at least know now that if it goes out, it can be replaced.

  In August of 2025 the amp on my Triton 2+ went out.  After calling Goldenear I was told I had to send the amplifier to them for repair.  They sent very explicit instructions on how to remove and replace the amplifier. The turn around time was a week.  They repaired the amplifier not replaced it.  This August almost exactly a  year later the amp failed again.  I called Goldenear they informed me they no longer get replacement parts and won’t replace or repair the amplifier.  They told me to find a local repair facility and good luck.  I was seriously disappointed that their service deteriorated so quickly.  Be aware they have been sold and the service is not what it once was.  I upgraded to the Triton 1 instead of repairing the amplifier not replaced.

  Thanks for the video, the amp on one of my Triton Two's just went bad.  I reached out to Golden Ear and they are sending me a new one, just like you showed.  Payed about $200 bucks, but they will refund the money when I send my old ones back, Great customer service.  I like your setup, nice!!

  Thanks for the helpful video. I have 2 Triton R Ones still in the box, along with Super XXL center, 6 ceiling speakers and the super Sub (all GldEar) getting installed this week. If or when something goes wrong with the towers I’ll have you to thank for knowing what to do.

  The problem with super towers is woofer sensitivity and people wanting small boxes. If you guys would be happy with a much larger box in your room, you could get 20-30hz extension with no built in amp requirement. Or better yet, get 500wpc mcintosh and run 80db sensitive full range towers.

  Heads up.  Goldenear bought by paradigm and they no longer support Triton 2 amp.  They offer repair for $250.  Bummed by this change in ownership and new policy.

  Your video is awesome - unfortunately Golden Ear no longer provides replacement amps - probably related to their recent company sale. <br>So I join the chorus of upset owners of GE tower speakers with a blown amp. Hope your new amp lasts for a long long time! Best!

  My Triton 2 subwoofer channel died so I contacted their support team and was told that they don&apos;t have the part available anymore. Advised to use external subwoofer in place. So it&apos;s not advisable to buy their products.

  I own a pair of Definitive Technology 9080X speakers &amp; also had to replace one of the amps after barely 2 years. I was sent a replacement amp &amp; after installing it (with some difficulty), the speaker worked as good as new. These powered speakers are awesome, but I worry about those built in amps.
