The song is about her life in her 20's

The first part is her early 20's when she hated herself

The middle part is when she wants to reconcile with herself, with that "child" which is her

The last part is when she finally accept and love herself that even though she may get lost and swept away by the waves of life again, she will know her way back

When Sam explains that this song feels like hiking to the mountain top, I got goosebumbs. It literally how it felt. This song provide stories, with closure. At some point of the song, it indeed made you feels like you are on top of the mountain looking at a sunrise. after all the hardships and challenges. and you know it was all worth it.

Whats more humane for me is that at the end, IU sang about "But still sometimes there will be days that I lose from my life. Even if I get lost again, I know my way back". This line is very empowering in a sense that... its a very normal thing to felt down (going back to back habit) when life hits you hard, but the next time it happened, you know better on how to navigate life.
