  This makes me almost tear up… I was like 9 years old. Woke up on a early weekend day. Got up jumped in my pyjamas and turned on the game…. This hits right in the feels… where has the time gone

  There's something about the low resolution combined with the dark but vibrant color palette that just feels... timeless to me. Even though I didn't play the DKC games growing up (I was a GameCube kid), my appreciation for the DKC series, especially its art direction and music, has only grown over time.

  Donkey Kong music has this sort of positive emotional aura to it. I can't put my finger on it but regardless of the environment of the level, the music from the games (specifically the SNES games) are always somewhat therapeutic.

  I work as a personal trainer and hosted a group workout outside a gym one time with an oversized speaker blasting away. Halfway through, my phone cycles to Busted Bayou and so I had to turn it up. You shoulda seen them go. Even spectators couldn't resist a few moves. I'm telling you the world can always use more DK-styled music.

  man... aquatic ambience will be THAT song, that will go through my head when i take my last few breaths on my deathbed... its catapulting me so far back into nostalgia, where i come back home from 1st grade elementary school, sit down and play snes... the chest feels heavy everytime

  the extra reverb effect does mess with the the drums in some of the tracks, but love the selection
