  Growing up on the hard, corrupt, violent streets of 1910&apos;s NYC, then losing your mom at age 8, then your father abandons you, then you watch your 2 brothers die before the age of 13, then you&apos;re coming of age right during the time period of prohibition in a lawless city rife w/ crime. Sheesh. Not saying he couldn&apos;t have taken another path and i would never condone murder, but after that immense childhood trauma it is at least a tiny bit understandable.

  There are very clear photos of Coll on the slab, and it really drives home the reality of this stuff. &nbsp; Tragic waste of lives all around.

  My Grandfather was one of the NYPD OFFICERS carrying Cole out of the store he was killed in. I have &nbsp;copies of the official photographs

  Funny! Never heard of Vincent Coll until this video. The Roaring 20s and Prohibition gave organized crime a shot in the arm!

  Coll shot my Dad who was 4 years old at the time in the back. He almost died and sported a bullet hole in his back for the rest of his life. It was quite the conversation starter

  For a guy who was only 23 he made a huge name and had a fearsome reputation, Dutch Shultz went into hiding he was that scared of Coll, Shultz even offered the NYC police money to kill him but even the police were too scared he also had Luciano and his men rattled and Salvatore Maranzano offered Coll 50.k to kill Lucky and co, Maranzano gave Coll 25 up front but while he was on his way over to do the job Maranzano was killed by Luciano, Coll was happy he ended up getting 25 for nothing. The Harlem baby killing sealed his fate, There&apos;s a great song about Coll by an Irish band Rory and the Island its on YouTube
