  Parents freaking out about their kids&apos; new hobby has been a thing for a long ass time. I shit you not in the 1700s (I think it was 1700s) there was a boom in teenage novels being published, and parents were freaking out that their kids were reading books in their rooms all day instead of playing outside.

  I can personally verify as a former corrections officer that my inmates fucking LOVED playing D&amp;D. Nothing causes more cognitive dissonance than hearing a gang member in prison for executing his girlfriend with a handgun casually and excitedly shouting, “I casting magic mothafuckin’ missile my n***a!” with his friends. I preferred them playing D&amp;D over stabbing us and each other, so that some states banned it is insane to me.
