One of my favorite Marr songs - nostalgic and personal, things he tends to avoid. The world is just a better place with this man and his music in it.

My wife and I saw he and his band last week in StPaul, MN. I’ve waited for years to see them. Simply,…brilliant..

For a noted guitar hero, Johnny Marr is no technical monster.
But he has the gift all great pop musicians must have: He can find the RIGHT notes for the song at that instant, and play them convincingly. Sounds simple, but it isn't.
At one point he was in Hans Zimmer's live ensemble, playing right alongside fusion MF'er Guthrie Govan.
Guthrie's job was to play anything and everything Hans could imagine - and he can do that, the guy's an absolute monster. Johnny's job was to play like Johnny Marr.

He comes up with some beautiful melodies and jangly guitar lines, kinda early Peter Buck on the Rickenbacker, but 100% JM. A one off muso.
