    Pyle was a master of eye flow that's for sure. Even the clouds & sand dunes have subtle tonal curved shapes to lead your eye to the Pirate captain. The clouds point down to the lead figure and the sand sweeps up to the lead figure. This not only prevents the common issue of the viewers eye from leaving the corners of the frame but also adds interest to sparse areas of the overall picture with very little details.

    the composition at 30 minutes is definitely a circle composition (the tree shape combined with the shadow shape of the clouds form a clustered circle. If you hover your mouse over that point in the timeline, you can see the dark trees + shadow make a circle.
