  <b>“You liar! You just put a computer inside of the controller!”</b> - I did do that, yes. Does that “not count”?<br>This isn&apos;t an electronics channel, I&apos;m doing this for fun. Regardless, actually running a modern game on a gamepad&apos;s MCU is fundamentally impossible.<br><br>Q: Can it-<br>A: Yes, it can run Doom.<br><br>Q: Was this inspired by Bringus Studios?<br>A: Yes! I recently binge-watched his stuff, got the inspiration to do some hardware jank myself.<br><br>Q: Why didn&apos;t you use GL4ES?<br>A: I didn&apos;t stumble upon it while planning this project. Who knows, it might be viable for version 2.<br><br>Q: Could this run Portal64?<br>A: Yes, and probably with much better performance too. But what&apos;s the challenge in that? I&apos;m just personally more interested in Portal 2.<br><br>Q: Does it still work as a regular controller?<br>A: Yes!<br><br>Q: Why didn’t you use the Android/native-ARM version of Source?<br>A: That one doesn’t support the Portal 2 engine branch.<br><br>Q: Can this run &lt;insert other game here&gt;?<br>A: Probably not very well.

  You should change the monitor output into a projector and put that projector inside the controller so that you can run Portal 2 with ONLY the controller.

  Bypassing DRM when you already legally own the game is completely morally justified for exclusively personal use tbh.

  when they say they grew up poor but they never had to run portal 2 on a 0.89 cent controller and a raspberri Pi

  Friendly fellow &quot;whatever I have on hand&quot; electronics enthusiast here. Breadboard jumper cables always <b>seem</b> like the perfect wire to rip apart and solder to your projects, however the coper is usually really thinly stranded and oxidized to the point solder doesn&apos;t stick to it. If you&apos;re in a bind and have no other options, you can usually get away scuffing up the wire with sand paper to get solder to stick. Flux also helps!
