This presentation is worth replaying!  Although my brother went many times to the P.G. I managed to get to there just once in the Summer of 1984 - the record of the night was Colonel's "Music Is The Answer."  Up until that time I had never been in a club of that size, so the crowd size was intimidating but the music was fantastic.  I partied for more than 8 hours.  Every time I hear Mahogany's "Ride On The Rhythm" it takes me back to that night as Larry played it loud and strong.  On my way to one of the closing parties in '87 my car broke down - upstate Connecticut so I didn't get there.  I don't have lots of memories from the inside of the place (the crystal brick wall, the room with the sports bleachers, the fruit bowls, the main dance floor and stage), but I still live the music of that place!

The algorithm delivered this to my queue and I am very thankful. I only made it to the Paradise Garage once and it was great. However, as a native Chicagoan, I attended the Warehouse pretty regularly during its first two years until I left for school. I really appreciate you guys for this. In Chicago, house music djs have all but forgotten the roots and seem locked in a mad dash of competition for whatever is current, much of which I don’t prefer. I will have to find your earlier tributes to enjoy and plan to also enjoy the future entries‼️
