  I grew up in South Florida and miss all of the Cuban food from Miami. &nbsp;Grateful that my mom and Abuela taught me Cuban cuisine. &nbsp;After all, I am part Cuban and love recreating many of the traditional Cuban foods.

  GREAT video! I grew up in Miami and when I went to Miami High there was a small café on the opposite corner. Every morning my breakfast was a café Cubano and a plate of croquetas &nbsp;jamon. &nbsp;I can still smell the café and I&apos;m 67 years old. Now I cook Cubano for my family in the North Georgia Mountains. Unfortunately Cuban bread is impossible to find less than a two hour drive from our home.

  A Cuban sandwich (Spanish: Sándwich cubano) is a variation of a ham and cheese sandwich that likely originated in cafes catering to Cuban workers in Tampa[1][2] or Key West,[3] two early Cuban immigrant communities in Florida centered around the cigar industry. Later on, Cuban exiles and expatriates brought it to Miami,[2] where it is also very popular. The sandwich is made with ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard, and sometimes salami on Cuban bread.[1][4] Salami is included in Tampa, where there is a large Italian population, but is not usually included in South Florida.[5][6][7]
