I went ahead and transcribed the steps for easier access. Definitely watch the video all the way through, this is just a boiled-down version of it to help me remember where I'm at in the process. <br><br>Materials: <br>Gloves <br>Microfiber towels <br>Brushes <br>Toothbrush <br>Paint markers <br>Cleaning wipes <br>Spray wax <br>Trim restore <br>Garbage bag <br>Soapy water <br> <br>1) Preparation <br>2) Dry clean <br>3) Wet clean <br>4) Dry engine <br>5) Detail <br> <br>1i) Gather cleaning supplies <br>1ii) Remove battery (or at least disconnect leads) <br>1iii) Plugs and dipsticks tight <br> <br>2i) Agitate surface dust with a brush <br>2ii) Wire brush aluminum intakes, etc. <br> <br>3i) Garbage bag over engine block <br>3ii) Hose down painted surfaces on hood <br>3iii) If hood liner is sagging or delicate, avoid soaking it <br>3iv) Spray down painted surfaces and [hood liner] with soapy water <br>3v) Use a microfiber towel to wipe down painted surfaces <br>3vi) Carpet cleaner can be soaked onto hood liner and rinsed off <br>3vii) Rinse hood down with water <br>3viii) Pick a side of the engine bay to start on, and work around <br>3ix) Rinse one segment with low pressure water <br>3x) Wipe down easy-to-reach surfaces with a cleaning wipe <br>3xi) Spray down segment with soapy water <br>3xii) Wipe down surfaces with a brush <br>3xiii) Rinse with hose <br>3xiv) Repeat 3ix-3xiii for the rest of the engine bay segments <br>3xv) Split the engine block down the middle and pick a side to start cleaning on <br>3xvi) Remove air intake hoses <br>3xvii) Wipe off grease and oil with cleaning wipes <br>3xviii) Spray area with soapy water <br>3xix) Scrub/agitate area with brushes <br>3xx) Wipe area down with clean microfiber towels <br>3xxi) Repeat 3xvi-3xx on the other side of the engine block <br>3xxii) Don't forget the intake and battery! <br> <br>4i) Dry with clean microfiber towel <br>4ii) Absorb as much water as you can <br> <br>5i) Remove hood liner, clean and spray if desired <br>5ii) Spray all the painted hood surfaces with wax <br>5iii) Buff in spray wax with clean microfiber towel <br>5iv) Spray painted surfaces in engine bay with wax <br>5v) Buff in wax <br>5vi) Apply trim restore to black rubber and plastic with clean brush <br>5vii) NO PRODUCT on accessory belts <br>5viii) Let each area sit a few minutes <br>5ix) Buff off trim restore with clean microfiber towel <br>5x) Don't forget the intake and battery! <br>5xi) Clean off rusted metal with wire brush <br>5xii) Apply paint marker to brushed metal <br>5xiii) Color raised cap lettering with marker
