I just finished doing some alterations for my mom. I use to work at an alterations shop in the summer when I first started teaching for extra money and because it was my best friend's shop. It was so fun. But I definitely never started with doing everything perfect. But I was reminded doing my mom's clothes that there's a lot of work to set up things, machine, thread, fabric sample and practice seams to make sure it is going to be perfect before starting. That's probably why I enjoy slow stitching so much better. It's manageable at each stitch and can be relaxing. Alterations, are never that lol
Another great video, I always get excited when you post something new! 💙
I'm so excited for your brown and blue project! Can't wait to see what you do with all your fabrics 🤔

Hi Caroline!
This was an enjoyable visit! It's beautiful and sunny but too hot for me here in Pennsylvania. Our area is cleaned up from the storm last week. Got to watch fireworks from our backyard last Saturday, we are still celebrating our 250th national birthday. Fireworks were beautiful but our cat and dog did not enjoy them!! We live near a fort that reenacts historic battles complete with cannon fire - the critters like those days even less that the fireworks.
I wish we had charity shops here like you do, when something doesn't sell, they just bundle it up and send it off somewhere, not sure where.
I'm wondering if your project might be a tote bag? The jean material would make it nice and strong and there's enough fabric for a lining and decoration. Hmmmm..... that's an idea for me>>
Have a great week ,everyone!

My guess is another few pages for your soft stitch book. Beautiful materials and love the blues.

Went searching my flat for something then found a cushion cover I got someone for Christmas and thought that'd be nice with some embordering on it. A couple of hours later and I've totally forgotten what I was searching for but the cover is looking great. Oh I just remembered what I was looking for - the bag of material I got in a charity shop a while ago., was thinking I'd try making a pouch/bag to put some sewing stuff in. 🤣

Hi Caroline 😻
What a lovely selection of fabric…..I wish I was nearby to buy them, but alas, not possible from Oz! 🇦🇺
I just love your little purse ,it’s stunning.
I have no idea what you’ll do with your Japanese theme pieces 🥺
Look forward to seeing it unfold.
🐸🦋🐝🎶🥰
