  I think darth bane is truly underrated. In his prime with obelisk armour he was unstoppable in combat. <br><br>Darth zannah herself states that she couldnt even imagine herself ever overthrowing him so long as he had the armour. She wasnt yet in her prime at this point but she wasnt weak either.<br><br>The obelisks not only made him invulnerable to lightsaber strikes but they deepend his connection to the force amplifying his abilities by alot and he was already at prodigy levels of force sensitivity.<br><br>The only way he actually lost the armour was by getting hit with his own lightning. That really was the only downside of the armour. It put him in a permanent state of pain and anger which made him more direct and stripped away his cunning when under stress which is what led to him getting hit by his own attack.<br><br>Its strange obelisk armour was not a good fit for his era and goals. The only fight he uses in is a fight he honestly wouldnt have gotten himself into had he not taken up the armour.<br><br>That said when he finally does lose the armour not only does he lose its benefits but it leaves hims severely scarred and weakened.<br><br>Years later his time in the mines and the damage from losing the armour has put him in a declining state in his 40s, a time when many other sith are only hitting their stride.<br><br>Even so darth zannah, who is at her peak strength during this time still barely manages to defeat bane. <br><br>So the argument that all who came after him were stronger because thats how the rule of two works is just false. The sith order was severely weakened after losing bane. He failed to enact his plans not due to a lack of strength but a lack of time. <br><br>The sith that followed would take a long time to cultivate thier power once more and become his equal.

  I like the idea of Tulak Hord making a list but also understand he is difficult to rank based on limited knowledge and info about him.
