Here's the written recipe:
BLACKBERRY COBBLER

9x13 baking dish
3-4 cups blackberries - enough to cover the bottom of the baking dish
1 Cup Milk
1 Cup All Purpose Flour
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp Vanilla
1 stick (8Tbsp) Butter
1/4 Tsp Kosher Salt

Cut butter into pieces and put in bottom of dish, place in preheating oven to melt (350 degrees).
Prep blackberries by checking them over. Add 1/2 cup sugar to berries and gently mix.
Batter:
Add flour, remainder of sugar, baking powder and salt to a bowl
Whisk together dry ingredients
Add milk and vanilla
Whisk until smooth

Place berries onto melted butter evenly spaced, don't mix.
Pour batter over berries
Bake for 30-40 minutes until batter turns a golden brown. Can go a few minutes longer. When cooked longer, the butter forms a caramelization on the bottom.

Enjoy everybody!

I think the plywood would look better painted black or dark grey like the barn.

I have an idea for the barn doors. You could just add some cedar tongue and groove or paneling etc to the plywood part so you don’t have to completely redo them. I think that would be super cute.

The barn looks great and I believe a copper light will be perfect ❤

The barn doors were so incredibly thirsty, it wouldn’t hurt to give both sides 2-3 coats. What a Beautiful transformation with the planted barrels added.

Can we talk about the "♡" on that left door? That was the first thing I noticed. Even the structures on the GA property love being there! I think galvanized steel panel insets would look beautiful where the plywood is. Less maintenance in the long run. The new color of the barn is really beautiful! Great choice!♡

That really dry wood needs a paint brush VS rag application. Much easier to layer more oil.

I'm a woodworker, and I use a paint roller to apply oil to large areas of wood that have a tendency to suck up a lot, then I go over with a dry oil sponge. Also takes less time. You can also go over it a second time if need be. Takes way less time.

The barn looks so pretty in grey and the copper light will be lovely....the doors look better but need more oil or a stain I think.(still look a bit parched)
Your half-barrel planters are genius though; the hydrangea standards look so fresh!!!! Laura, have you thought about staining the wood shakes grey on the front of the tunnels to match the barn?I think it would be a lovely trio from afar

Yes! Definitely need a “Red Barn” sign. The barn looks great as does that entire area. It’s so satisfying to see it all come together. ❤
