  My ex mother in law had to pass out at every event she went to. Every wedding she went to ended with her being transported to the hospital via ambulance.  They ( her and FIL )  were part of a friend group that got together every weekend and they did all their traveling together.  She always had to have attention and you could tell it was getting on their nerves.  At first they would all call the next day to see if she was ok .  They started holding off the calls until it got to the point they didn’t call at all because of the last wedding she went to with them.  It was during the father daughter dance that she passed out and ruined it for the bride. Nobody called after that.  They just cut her off cold turkey.  No warning , no fight  just disappeared.  She is bitter to this day.  The rest of the group are all still friends.

  Jenna is a narcissist.  They don't get better.  The only way to deal with them is to dump them. They might make temporary adjustments when it comes back to bite them, but it always comes back when they think they're in the clear.

  Even when Jenna has been outed for faking emergencies, she is still managing to keep the attention on herself with her dramatic sobbing. Henba had sabotaged every important day for OP, including her nephew&apos;s 1st birthday party. Jenna&apos;s family are also wrong because they had enabled Jenna by catering to her nonsense.

  If OP didn&apos;t plan it, her son&apos;s birthday party would&apos;ve been ruined by her sister. If she didn&apos;t invite her, she would be shunned like a pariah and called selfish. There are no good options. The planning was the only way to expose her sister&apos;s sickening envy. I think OP was wrong to ruin her son&apos;s party, but in this case, there is no right choice. There&apos;s wrong, then there&apos;s worse. Her son was always going to suffer because her family was horrible and arrogant. The planning was the only way to prevent Jenna&apos;s future sabotages.
