This store is kinda hidden in the neighborhood, it looks like one of the surrounding houses.  If you do visit this branch, make sure to drop by the nearby Starbucks Reserve, they have exclusive edition traveler's notebooks in the cafe

When my husband and I went to the store in 2019, he told me that he was surprised by how many people were there. Afterwards, he said, "Then I remembered how many people were in Tokyo." I explained to him that people come from all over the world to the store. It's almost like a pilgrimage! <br><br>The store is infused with Iijima-san's personality. There is a nostalgic caring and passion for quality that is sadly missing from so much these days. I love that he seems so non-corporate and non-salary man. You did an excellent job with touring the shop and the interview. Thank you.

Iijima's art is so lovely! He should really consider picking some of his sketches from his diaries to make into stickers or washi.

It's nice to see someone who loves what they're doing, both traveling and journaling, and wants to make products to help fellow lovers of that. I like that they've built a moment of mindfulness into the notebooks (with having to remove the elastic band) and brass pen (with having to uncap and post them). Just by starting a process in that way, it makes it easier to keep going. Thanks for the tour.

I visited the shop in Kyoto in December, and it had this same feel to it.  It was a relaxed atmosphere and the notebook I picked up with the Tokyo Metro collab was the perfect place for my "ephemera" and writing about the trip to go.
