  A couple of "stops". #1 Flashing lights - I exited the car, was at the driver's window before he had stopped rolling and said "I want an escort to the hospital. I am on an urgent callback". Confusion, then away we went. Lights and siren. He made sure that I went into A&E. #2, many years later, I was speeding, late for an appointment. Lights, so I stopped, out of the car. The Officer suggested that I get back in, and I fell over my walking stick. After I got back up, he gave me a long lecture and a fine. He reduced the fine from the maximum to the minimum because of my co-operation. A good Officer, getting a good result.

  I have always gotten out of the car if pulled over for speeding, Always reckoned standing was a better way to negoatiate then the cop learing over you

  Don’t let A.I. slop convince you that Aussie cops are bent. Australia and America have roughly the same ratio of police to citizen. &nbsp;1 Officer to 400 Citizens.<br>America has over 1,000 citizens shot by police per year. Australia = 10 citizens shot.<br>Australian Police killed by citizens &lt; less than 1 per year. American Police killed by citizens 65 (average)<br>America has a little over 10x Australia’s population, but over 100x Police killing citizens And &nbsp;over 60x Citizens killing Police.<br>If an Aussie copper asks you, or tells you, to get out of the car, just get out.
