After 45 years of Chronic Major Depressive and Anxiety Disorders plus ADHD and hallucinations, I spent 6 months on Carnivore, 3 months Ketovore, then went to a year of low carb. None of my symptoms returned.

Too be honest having over an entire year living like a regular person, able to do things and maintain relationships etc has taken some work to adapt to but I am very pleased.😏

Keto has changed my life. Seriously. Don’t smoke weed, don’t drink, so positive about life and don’t get frustrated. I’m just a better person.

Two approaches that have deleted several of my long standing illnesses: 1. prolonged water fasting 2. Ketogenic diet. After years of depression, anxiety, mood swings, angioedema, awful skin tag clusters, IBS, fatty liver disease and obesity, I decided to try these two approaches (one immediately after the other). I break my prolonged water fasting with keto and it worked a dream for my mental and physical health. People do not even believe me when I tell them. I tried to discuss this with a lady who had suffered with awful bouts of angioedema which hospitalised her, but she would not entertain the idea. They continue their whole lives on a cocktail of drugs and I find this very very sad. People are so conditioned to rely on doctors and pharmaceuticals that their lives are ruined by failing to think about and try other approaches

Since carnivore my fasting insulin went from 8.5 to 2.5. I intermittent fast because it so easy because I’m not hungry or cravy. I swim laps every day. It has removed most of my Autism co morbidities. I’m a 75 year old female. Love this interview.

I'm on ketogenic therapy for 2 years now.
I began with 100 days of carnivore.
I also weight train and walk.
I gained 135 pounds from taking 15 different rx meds, including multiple antidepressants, antipsychotics, and mood stabilizers, strictly for major depression. Also had 2 inpatient hospitalizations and 2 series of ECT.

Today, after 25 years on these meds, I've been off all meds for 8 years, using periodic water fasting and the past 2 years the carnivore ketogenic therapy diet, still off all meds.
I also lost all but 15 pounds of that huge weight gain, thank God!
Carnivore has given me the highest quality of life physically and mentally.
I love fruit, veg, dairy (grains not so much), but I eat them sparingly one meal a week as only part of a meal that begins with animal protein.
Limiting fruit and veg is definitely the main reason I'm still alive and well today.

I'm so grateful to Dr Scher, Dr Edes, Dr Palmer and the Metabolic Mind team for keeping ketogenic therapy information so prominently in the public eye.

I have ADHD and I'm insulin resistant. I decided to try keto only to overcome my insulin resistance. I'm currently 23 days into the keto diet and I'm generating ketones about 1.5-2.0 mmol/L. However, to my surprise, on day 13, I realized my ADHD had practically disappeared. My mind quit racing and my perpetual fidgeting has stopped. I did not even expect that this could be a possible outcome.

I am Bipolar II, and I find that I dont need to be in ketosis very frequently to get the mood stabilizing benefits. I swing between low carb and ketosis.

Caffeine jacks cortisol which will trigger gluconeogenesis. If you're having trouble, switch to decaf. Add more fat, decrease protein esp whey or other processed protein.
