As someone currently stuck in Oakland, this is absolutely NOTHING to be proud of, absolutely nothing. Its one of those places people get nearby area codes just to hide the fact they live in Oakland. Knowing how Oakland got this bad is one thing but making out someone who helped make it worse as anything more than demonic is diabolical and crazy work as they say

I remember the funeral. I remember being around here everyday. Grew up on 73rd & holiday. I remember EOYDC. I remember black panther programs. I love my town always will...

I still got my American Gangster documentary series on DVD from 2007 season 1&2 that had all the big time dealers and gang leaders that's how I learned about frank Lucas, Nicky Barnes, tookie Williams, felix the cat Mitchell, Lorenzo fat cat and others.

I lived a block from the church where his funeral procession happened. Impressive.<br>Unfortunately, this video seems to portray him as a heroic figure.

I'm from Oakland and jerks like this helped make living there terrible. Hurt his own people. Fool. If it were the way back days of slavery, this is the type of individual who would help slave catchers catch other blacks justifying their action, "gotta' get mine"
