One of my favourite shots in the movie is when the Bene Gesserit nuns arrive to watch Feyd Rautha's fight, and as they walk from the interior light (normal) to the exterior (infrared) their cloaks change from black to white. It's such a subtle transition I didn't even clock what was happening until subsequent viewings but it's SO GOOD.

Easily the craziest cinema experience of my life seeing this planet's first scene in Dune

I am not an architect, and never been interested in such topic, but the way Demi explain things is so awesome and fascinating. Also love her humor. Greetings from Latam!

Gurney Halleck puts it perfectly, "they're not human, they're BRUTAL"

I remember in the theater seeing Dune pt. 2 and just feeling very uneasy and uncomfortable during the arena scene. I loved it and was having a blast but just couldn’t shake this feeling of being disturbed

The resemblance with H R Giger's work is no coincidence, he made some concept art for a cancelled Dune adaptation by Jodorowsky, including several sketches for the Harkonnen homeworld, really great drawings, its nice to see that vision somewhat represented here

the black sun was such an evocative artistic decision! very cool and shocking to the audience! It helps make Geidi seem even more alien and hostile than Arakis

Indoor rain from people’s breath. Gross.

Dune is masterful cinema, particularly in the way it uses a visual medium to communicate in ways that only that medium can. What this video brings out is how skillfully that was done through architecture and color, and how memorably the relatively short sequnces on Giedi Prime show us who the Harkonnens are without needing to tell us. And the septic tank inspiration was a fun bit of trivia (even though the result of the design choice was completely effective.)

Honestly I would say Geidi Prime in new Dune movies is the best visual of the century so far. The elements of Nazzi's architecture with Giger-esk finish and color scheme is chilling like a horror movie even without a single visible drop of blood.

I never thought about the noise in the colosseum, for the fighters it must sound like they're fighting in hell itself, a barrage of screams and shouts all blurred out by eachother, voices made of gunpowder, demon handlers inching just outside your peripheral, god what a good movie
