The 300-series Yamaha products are an interesting breed. They had some great value AVRs back in the 5.1 DTS days, and I have one of their A-S300 stereo receivers in my basement still working like new. <br>400 bucks for 7-channel Atmos is a great entry-level product, especially now that JBL discontinued their recent AVRs and the good old Sony STR-1080 is getting harder to find.

On the back I see a center, a left and right and two surrounds. I see no height speaker outs. I must be missing something.

It sorta reminds one of a Marantz by the way it looks. But if it has the power for a decent price for beginners, then I wouldn't overlook this item. Just purchased the SACT to give that a try.

I enjoyed smooth Yamaha 377, then lively Onkyo 393 for front surround sound for small room. Might give this a try one day.
