  In this variety program, Choi Kang-rok&apos;s personality is definitely out of place because of how fast-paced and chaotic the environment is. Aside from his success on CCW, they seem to bring him back a lot because he has a niche market of audiences who relate to the awkwardness and introversion. Also to make his odd, nervous character some sort of comic relief (which is fun! but isn&apos;t everything there is to him).<br><br>I&apos;d say his real personality and appeal (dare I say even charm, for those who like nerdy people) shine through in his show Blank Menu for You, wherein each episode he has a whole day to cook a dish for a celebrity guest, and in the web series Food Otaku, where he leisurely travels Japan to find (and fanboy over) the best ingredients. If you&apos;ve watched lowkey cooking content like Midnight Diner or Little Forest, you&apos;ll be able to appreciate the gentle and in-depth pace he takes on for natural ingredients and thoughtful cooking.<br><br>It&apos;s a wonderful foil to the youthful, ambitious energy you get from Kwon Sung-jun! I love them both and it&apos;s nice to see how a crazy Korean variety show like this offers intentional space for different personalities of chefs. ❤

  Imma just gonna c&amp;p my comment from another video...<br>This is precisely what I meant and they posted this cut. <br>Here goes... Cue <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P18PZzsJNSc&amp;t=160">2:40</a>.<br><br>What intrigued me is... Sungjun is both very confident and very insecure at the same time. He is like the ultimate walking contradiction. Maybe because he is the youngest in the program (amongst the regular chefs), and maybe due to his previous &quot;arrogant&quot; controversy after he won CCW S1, or that he feels he needs to create/build a &quot;character&quot; for the program so he &quot;reshapes&quot; by taking on roles models, but he also shift shapes too often 😂 by taking on too many roles models, sometimes for the effect of the program, for laughs or for talking points but as a viewer, sometimes I feels it does overshadowed his talent. He is actually a very versatile chef as he is certified in many cuisines/genres (not just Italian), he should be confidently letting his cooking do the talking instead of being too concerned about this whole popularity thing.<br>Popularity and fame come and go, but one&apos;s talent won&apos;t betray if one continuously works on it. He is a strategist as he studied how survival/reality program worked and it worked towards his advantage and won CCW S1, so maybe this is his strategy for this program but sometimes just wished he would just go with the flow and enjoy his time more on the program.
