  Maine here, my husband and I are egg farmers on a scale to sell. We pride ourselves on the quality of eggs we sell. To do this our girls (and we have many) are fed a very rich diet in proteins and greens. Our customers will absolutely not buy store bought eggs after they have tasted what our girls produce. With that said, this video was extremely informative and I will be researching &nbsp;it for our area. I am not sure if Tagasaste will grow here, our winters are very harsh. However, comfrey and Mulberry I know will grow here. I have been a farmer for more years than I care to think about; but never too old to learn something new.

  We raised 30+ free range chickens for free until Winter. Literally free. We started with 6 fertilized eggs. I waited and got two strong beautiful roosters. They fertilized the females and then we had fertilized eggs each day which at first we used a Brinsea incubator to hatch. We did that twice. After this, the flock took off on it&apos;s own and self divided into 3 subflocks. The only challenge we had was collecting tbe eggs.<br><br>Go natural if you can folks. The yolks were orange and shells thick.Animals will eat what they need, it just needs to exist. That means, natural field grasses and plants, not &quot;fescue&quot;.

  Moringa needs tropical conditions, but it’s very nutritious and medicinal for all including humans. You can cut it back and wrap heavily against frost in S Tx and S Fl, keep in a tall wheeled trash bin because of the tap root, bring it in to cool dark place for winter, or take cuttings to overwinter inside. The more it’s pruned, the more nutritious leaves it produces.

  It takes a while to establish a mulberry but they&apos;re super productive at the end of the leach drains

  Never could get my hens to grow. Someone said I was planting them too deep.

  I think cows can eat comfrey too. And if you have cows, the chickens can eat the fly larvae from the cow manure.
