I’m Latvian, and I’m glad to see that the Courland Pocket is still being talked about. I’ve been metal detecting there for years, with dozens of trips around Saldus and other well-known hotspots. It’s become pretty picked over now, especially since LiDAR maps showing bunkers and trenches became available online. But if you know where to look, you can still find some great stuff. The Russians did the same thing to us Estonians, 40,000 of them in one night, gone...<br> I am Estonian and my Grandfather and Great Uncle fought for the Germans until the end... luckily they managed to surrender to the UK.
