  I&apos;ve made the first recipe, a couple tips- the inside hole has to be really big, I used a round cookie cutter to cut the hole, also, it&apos;s okay for there to be apple showing, you don&apos;t have to completely cover the apple. and finally, you don&apos;t need to fuss with milk or anything, just melt butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon, and then brush it over the top of the whole thing. Also, I don&apos;t know why she cut her apples like that, but either way is fine. Oh, and it takes some time to get the hang of wrapping them, and it&apos;s time consuming. By the end, the puff pastry will start to get really stretchy and start to break, so try to hurry. They are soo worth it though.

  The honeycomb cake might have risen more if you didn&apos;t oil the sides of the pan; the cake won&apos;t have anything to cling to. Try oiling it then adding flour, removing the excess flour afterwards. I&apos;ve had many successes doing it this way.

  The trick with frozen pastry is to chill it after you roll/cut it , this will firm the fat up in the dough and make it more user friendly!
