  Thanks for this video, I left the Catholic Church in January 2023 and joined the Protestant Church because I thought idols were worshiped in the Catholic Church but I did not know the history of Catholicism. I watched a video in which there is a lot of history of the Catholic Church.  It is old and true and the first Church Fathers are the first Pope, now after watching this video it is Saturday that from tomorrow I will go to my Catholic Church the first Pope is from Peter and the one and only true Church which Lord Jesus built on the rock of Peter.  thanks so much this video God bless you

I watch you regularly on EWTN on demand and have been looking for how better to defend the authenticity of the Church. This talk 13 years later is still very relevant, indeed more relevant!!   Thank you Marcus. You are one reason I felt like the Catholic Church was the Way. It was a leading from God that guided my path , and He used awesome people like you and Mother Angelica, Scott Hahn, Father Mitch and others to inspire me along the way. Thanks again!

  I think a large part of the confusion came about because in the Bible, we used poetry to describe a scene that was not spoken as a poem. Jesus did not say, &quot; though art Peter and upon this rock I will build my church&quot;.... What he said in aramaic was...&quot;turning to Simon, Jesus said, Simon, &nbsp;you are the Rock and on you, The Rock, I will build my Church...&quot; It&apos;s a much stronger statement when translated fully into English, without the Latin and Greek. After all, Saint Peter translated into English means...&quot;Holy Rock&quot;....or in better English ..&quot; The Holy Rock&quot;
