When my daughter was born, she had to stay in the hospital for about a month or so I watched your channel every night that I was there with her and my wife. It was a pretty stressful time and your channel really helped me get through that stressful hard time.❤❤

During one of the worst times of my life a couple years ago I discovered Mr Ballin. My fiance had just died of an overdose and I was secretly living in an abandoned house in Detroit. These videos were my window out of hell. I can't express how much this channel has meant to me so I'll just say thank you, thank you very much John.

Jeez, the crocodile one is terrifying. Imagine seeing it eat your friend, then come back and stalk you for hours. Enduring hypothermia and exhaustion

Black water was one of my 1st Mr Ballen stories, like 6-7 years ago. It was great to hear it again, remastered 😊 RIP Brett

Hi everyone back in 2012 I was privileged enough to have one of Bretts close friends as my music teacher and we were very close. She taught me a song she had written in dedication to Brett. I have the song memorized and don’t think I can ever forget his story. This tragedy touched so many lives and although I can’t share the song I hope that one day it will be shared. <br>As a girl from Darwin all I can picture when hearing this story it the true terror one feels when faced with a croc. Especially being 2-3m up a tree when a croc can jump vertically out of the water almost its entire length. I’m talking only the tip of its tail remains in the water. And although they wouldn’t have had to face hypothermia during the wet season (ave 35°c) they would have been facing possible lightning strikes and terrible mosquitoes and midges (biting sandflies the size of a pin head). <br>Although I’ve never met any of the people involved I have seen first hand how much Brett’s loss has impacted the community. RIP Brett you are loved and very much missed.<br><br>Thank you Mrballen for covering this story and so many others and being inclusive of stories and countries aside from your own. I admire how much research, respect and compassion you hold for the victims and families.
