Minecraft is a game that has touched the hearts and memories of players across the world. From their childhood to now, it has had a special place in people's lives. And so, the nostalgia that comes with old Alpha Minecraft for some of the older player base can cut deep. However those dear memories of old Minecraft are not only warm and wholesome. There was something eerie about it too. The heavy render fog and desolate world added another layer to Minecraft's atmosphere. A game that relied on player's imaginations started to make them see, feel, and hear things that weren't there. This is how the urban legend of Herobrine began. So I decided to play a mod pack which tried to recreate an emphasise the horrors of Alpha Minecraft but manifesting the horrors rather than simply being a lingering feeling. Minecraft Wonderland takes the spotlight here with it already having its own worlds and lore following some players who used to play in the early days. Now I have brought my mods, Mesomanikin and Gumbo under the guise that we are playing the Minecraft nostalgia pack for old times' sake without telling them of the horrors we are soon to face. Their reactions were perfect. Keep in mind this is a slow burn horror that builds up as time goes on. It gets pretty insane near the end. Thank you to WildGoomster and his friends for creating the modpack and suggesting it to me. It made for a good experience, and hopefully a good video!
