I am 72. I have churned butter, canned veggies, made jelly and pickles, milked cows and made quilts and blankets. My mother made her biscuits with lard and I have never been able to reproduce the taste of them. Picking fruit and berries in summer was a task we enjoyed because we got to eat a bowl of ripe berries with cream when we finished.
