I can't say how competitive it would be, but running Inner Circle Task Force with Terminator Storm Force and another 1dp sounds like a fun way to play Deathwing DA

Asmodai + Blade Guard Ancient attached to Blade Guard Veterans. 4++ saves. +1 to attacks on objective and rerolling all hit rolls. So you now have an 8 body unit with 11 oc that sticky’s home before moving forward, 30 attacks rerolling hits, toughness 5, that also gets to choose if they have a +1 to hits or a -1

To quote one very dedicated evil henchman who makes a mean spinach puff: Oh yeah, it’s all coming together

Interesting detachments. To your point, I’m more tempted to take something like terminator storm, assault brethren, and maybe inner circle, rather than wrath of the rock. (I don’t have any raven-wing, so no point in running darkflight lol)

These new datasheets are juicy and gives me an incentive to get characters that I would normally not bother with, like Belial and Ezekiel.

At this point, I'm now most curious if whether or not they gave The Lion the Deathwing keyword. The leaks show nothing and I haven't heard anything about it.

Im betting the lion will actually drop at around 375 with the codex similar to the wazbom blasta jet with orks
