  The best part is that his training methods did indeed produce results, and some of his Pokémon were actually ok with it. It wasn’t a generic battle of good trainer vs bad trainer, it was 2 different beliefs clashing, and that’s what makes this rivalry stand out.

  The Lake Acuity battle is still one of the most brutal ones in the series in my opinion. Everyone on Ash&apos;s team got absolutely DEMOLISHED.

  I will always say this “Ash walked with Paul so he could run the fade with Cynthia”. While Cynthia definitely was more loving towards her Pokemon, she had very similar battle style to Paul being very strategic. She was the only one who didn’t underestimate Pikachu and was able to take him out early.
