I agree for sound quality but Sony’s touch controls are just terrible. I’d rather use the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra headphone’s controls. However, for sound, ANC, device switching and simplified controls nothing beats AirPods Max

I’ve got the Bose Ultra first iteration.

For travel etc they’re fabulous.

For home listening I use a cable connection to use the fabulously good Denon AH-D9200 with my Astell & Kern SP3000.

I really don't use my ANC headphones with the ANC on because they never really leave the house. I use them as a regular wired set of headphones (they come with a 3.5mm cable to plug into whatever you use) and they sound good. The brand I have are the Thinksound ov202w. About 80 hours with ANC on and over 100 hours with it off. They use duel drivers, 40mm and 10mm, and are made with recycled materials (as much as they can anyway) and wood cups. The ANC does work well, guessing not to the level as Sony or Bose or Apple and they have just basic Bluetooth codecs but they are under 200.00.

Buy the Questyle dongle. You can plug it into your iPhone and have access to whatever codec your headphone utilizes🤷🏽♀️

Not related to headphones, but I've been daily driving both the bose qc ultra 1 and sony wf-1000xm5 earbuds and they are great!
