one of the thing they don't mention is that the commisar looking for the shot down planes was due to a specific reason. if you were shot down and they had no proof you were often considered MIA or a traitor. so in order for the families of the pilots to get government support they needed confirmation that they were killed during the missions. if they weren't in some cases their families would be looked down upon or be under suspicion of treason. after all if one member of their family ran away there was a chance the whole family might be seen as possible traitors or cowards. so her looking for the shot down planes was also to help their families get government support.

Thanks for the reaction. There were no separate clothes for men and women . Previously, women had not flown on airplanes and could not be trusted with expensive fighter jets, there were few of them. Therefore, they were given only training aircraft made of wood. They also flew without a parachute because of the weight of the bombs. Each kg was taken into account

First, Great reaction. <br>the soviets where desperate at that time, Germans where close enough to Their capital thay it would be a reasonable walk for most (26km, 16 miles), they used EVERYTHING including the kitchen sink with the baby still in the water.
