I'm watching California Valley growing in population and most of them are decent normal folks who can't stand city life. It's not as bad as the video portrays.

I've been through this area a lot of times on my way to my home in Montana at the time. 1 or 2 times a year I would visit my family down in the foothills of California. It is not very populated and the few people I saw made me wonder what they did for a living besides cattle. Not everyone can afford a ranch. But it's beautiful.

Don’t know about Modoc but in Kern county anything with road access goes min $5K per acre, doubling in the past 5 yrs…

Snow geese are an enemy on the crops they migrate too. All you can shoot. Alturas for me is a zone 6b. but i'v had a 35 below wind chill at times.

I like my rural mountain ranch! 25+ years here. Yes, a lot of work, but I've never shirkied hard work in my life. At least it's for myself and not a stupid city 'system' full of dependent folks running into each other.<br>Paid cash then and still not sorry at 72.
