Купили заброшенный дом 1940 года: про находки в подвале, ремонт дома и благоустройство / Sewera

Hello, friends! When we ask our heroes why they decided to build a house from scratch instead of buying a ready-made one, we almost always hear the same answer: it's difficult to find a house that suits the layout, materials, and location of the property. But today's heroes are a rare exception. Two years ago, Lena and her husband, Sergey, found a semi-abandoned house from the 1940s in the Moscow region. No one had lived there for a long time—just two dogs and rodents. The roof leaked in places, old junk was rotting in the yard, and trash had been piling up for years. But none of this scared the couple—they moved in with their two children and decided to breathe new life into the house! We came to talk to Lena and Sergey about a variety of things. What have they accomplished so far in two years? Where did they start? What's it like restoring an old, abandoned house with your own hands? How many trucks did it take to remove 80 years of accumulated junk? And what unexpected things could a house built 80 years ago hide in its storage rooms and basements? So, as you're used to, it was interesting, useful, and inspiring!
