Three Islands, Three Different Worlds on Georgia’s Coast

It’s honestly wild when you look into the history of Jekyll Island and what those guys pulled off in 1911. A group of the biggest bankers in the world literally took a private train car under fake names just to meet at a secret hunting club in Georgia without the public knowing. They spent that time drafting the Aldrich Plan, which was basically the 'Beta version' of the Federal Reserve. They used the financial panic of 1907 to convince everyone that a private banking cartel was the only 'solution' to stabilize the economy, and by 1911, they had the blueprint ready to go. It’s a perfect example of how much global history is actually driven by a few people behind closed doors rather than the government processes we’re taught in school. Definitely a rabbit hole worth diving into if you want to see where our current inflation issues actually started.

I was raised in Tybee Island and never would have thought you'd end up visiting. BUT the lady who toured you doesn't give me local vibes, never seen her before either. Plus I know she is not from Tybee because the way she pronounces Fort Pulaski lol

Now that you're in this part of the country, i would love if you made some videos with the Gullah/Geechee community!

This was filmed in winter.  Everything is quiet because it's the off season.  These places have a completely different vibe in Summer.  Tybee is very crowded in Summer.

They call them live oaks because they keep their leaves all year long.

"Redneck Riviera" refers to the Florida Panhandle and Alabama Gulf Coast, popular for its accessible, casual beach culture, a term coined around the 1970s to describe the working-class, Southern-style vacation spot. NOT TYBEE

Jekyll Island also has a sea turtle sanctuary. You should check out St. Mary’s and Cumberland Island while you’re in the area. Cumberland Island is only accessible by ferry. It has wild horses left by the Spanish, ruins of a mansion built before the revolutionary war, the gravesite of Lighthorse Harry Lee, a Carnegie mansion turned bed and breakfast, and the chapel where JFK Jr. got married. Lots of stories on that island.
