  great video! makes me nice and nostalgic. we've had quite a few trips to Hakuba for snow fun.. In 2016 when we stayed for 5 weeks and winter forgot to come, we vowed to return and hire a car instead to drive around.. best experiences ever

Thanks for sharing.<br>…And about the ski poles, what the old ski snob from the Alps in the comments below that judged you should have said was something like this:<br>Little tip to help you progress your skiing skills if you’d like. ☺You can start trying to ski with poles. You’re advanced enough now that you can use them, and they’ll help you maintain balance in your turns. Holding the poles correctly and doing each pole plant sets you up for the right timing and body position during the turn transition and weight shift.<br>It also naturally brings your arms forward, which reminds you to keep your shoulders parallel to the bottom of the slope. That helps keep your body and skis aligned for well balanced and controlled turns.<br>You’ll also notice that as you get more comfortable with poles, they become a rhythm tool. A light, well-timed pole plant helps you initiate each new turn smoothly, especially on steeper terrain or firmer snow. Try keeping your pole plants gentle and consistent, almost like tapping a metronome. This keeps your upper body stable while your legs do the work underneath you. As you improve, the poles won’t feel like “extra things to manage” but more like an extension of your skiing flow, helping you build confidence, control and a natural turning cadence. <br>More importantly have fun skiing, and enjoy your time in Japan.
