  I am convinced the beauty/cosmetics industry has brainwashed people into believing they NEED all those bottles of serums, creams , and potions. &nbsp;The amount of items on that counter, even after decluttering is staggering.

  Just a moment of appreciation for April &amp; Jackson - with these hour+ long videos you are basically producing a feature length film for us every week and they&apos;re so high quality compared to so many other (also great) channels - film and sound quality, lighting, editing - you guys are producing amazing content AND it&apos;s so inspirational and companionable for so many of us.

  Hi Lulu! Fellow beauty lover here who has fallen down the makeup / skincare / fragrance rabbit holes and can relate! Here are a couple of lessons I have learned along the way:<br><br>1. Backups are a waste of money. Even if it’s your holy grail ride-or-die, the extra money sitting in the back of a drawer or cabinet waiting to be used could have been working for you earning interest, saved, or applied to &nbsp;other endeavors. Either the product will still be there, perhaps at a better price (sale!), when you need to repurchase OR there will be a similar newly released product that you want to try when you’re out of the old one. Same goes for subscribe and save. We don’t save when we spend. We save when we don’t spend. <br><br>2. Free samples and little mini &nbsp;sized “points perks” products &nbsp;are just clutter coming into your home. Always uncheck the “free with purchase” line item because if you didn’t want it enough to pay for it, you probably don’t want it at all.<br><br>3. Commit to a 30-day skincare rotation and don’t deviate. It takes at least a month to see results from any product or regimen so you won’t know what works and what you love until you commit to a routine. Choose one-each of whatever you use: toner, essence, serum, eye care, moisturizer, sunscreen - and stick with it for a month. Leave everything else in backstock until you’ve either used up a product or until a month has passed and you’ve decided you’re ready to try something else. If you’ve determined that a product isn’t working for you after that month, declutter it immediately - either toss it or pass it along to a friend. <br><br>Just a few gentle tips from a fellow beauty lover! 🫶<br><br>P.S. I’m also a Jones Road What the Foundation! lover! But did you see that Bobbi recently released a stick foundation version? But if you have multiples of WTF!, there’s no room in your routine to try the new stick. Just saying… 😘❤

  I always wondered how freeing it would feel to just toss the “use it or lose it “ pile. I did it and started fresh with the stuff I decided to keep and it was an AMAZING feeling.

  Personal advice, because April got me scared for a second XD : DO NOT use samples of a product you&apos;ve never used to travel, just because they are &quot;travel size&quot;. The last thing you want when travelling is trying something on your skin... if it does not work for you (wishing you no allergic reaction!), you will end up scavenging shops to find a replacement... so zero benefit
