“I am invincible!” When this came out we (a bunch of dudes in their 20s) used to say that at work all the time when we figured out some difficult problem. 😂

FUN FACT: Pierce Brosnan was supposed to be Bond as far back as "The Living Daylights", but he couldn't get out of his "Remington Steele" contract -- that was his NBC prime time action/drama series in the '80s --so they went with Timothy Dalton for his two Bond flicks.

Goldeneye is definitely my favorite of the Brosnan-Bond series. Partly cause of my age when it came it out. And the game that came out for my N64 😁🤪

The woman that played Xenia also played Kamala from the recent episode from Star Trek TNG, Famke Janssen. She is absolutely stunning.

The field guide to birds in Die Another Day is a reference to how James Bond got his name. When Ian Fleming began Casino Royale at Goldeneye, his vacation home in Jamaica, he needed what he felt was a suitably dull name for his hero. There was a book called Birds of the West Indies on his coffee table and the author's name was James Bond. Fleming had found his character's name.

1:25:19 Original Q's Final words in the Bond Franchise, after filming this movie before the next movie was filmed the actor died in a car accident that he couldn't avoid because he was surrounded by other cars, effectively he didn't have an escape plan, that one always stuck with me and it definitely impacted how I drove for many years, always making sure I had enough space around me to have a way to avoid an accident.

The bungee jump was awesome—the stuntman jumped 722 feet straight down. Wow! Goldeneye opens with a perilous bungee jump of the Verzasca hydro-electric dam in Locarno, Switzerland. Stuntman Wayne Michaels's jump off the 220-meter dam holds the World Guinness Record for “the highest bungee jump from a structure in a film.”

Jen, you would really like The Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce. It is a remake from the Steve McQueen original. Still really good.

Ok, now I have to google where they got a Tiger helicopter for the Golden Eye movie...

Answer:
"On the 1999 Special Edition DVD of GoldenEye, the director's commentary notes the aircraft's appearances in the film's Monte Carlo scenes were of a prototype Tiger provided by the French Navy along with its test platform, the FS La Fayette.[3] Its other appearances throughout the rest of the film were scale miniatures constructed by Derek Meddings' model unit at Leavesden studios in England."
