I’ll be 56 this year (2024) I grew up watching his and Richard Pryor’s stand up.  I still watch them if they are on. Classic comedy.

Absolute legend. A pillar of comedy. He was in so many of my favorite childhood movies, such as Trading Places, Coming to America and Beverly Hills Cop. Great movies.

My wife and I went and seen him during that tour, in Oakland, California. It was 2 hours of non-stop laughter.😂

Drunk father at a cookout, fat aunt (possibly Bigfoot) with a mustache falling down the steps, sadistic ice cream truck driver, soul brother downplaying how bad slavery was, shoe-throwing mother with supersonic hearing…the soundtrack of my early teens indelibly imprinted to this day.  Thank you for the highlight reel!
